Welcome

My curiosity about human behavior began when I was a child. Instead of judging my inquisitive nature, my family and surroundings supported it, and this led me to discover psychology. Over time, I realized that psychology is not just about understanding the individual but also understanding their story, relationships, and context. This approach has guided my professional journey over the years.

After receiving a solid academic education at one of Turkey’s top universities, METU, I focused on working with children. My admiration for their world led me to user experience (UX) research, where I contributed to the development of a mobile application for children with special needs, blending psychology with educational technologies. In this field, my goal was not just to create technology, but to ensure that the digital world is truly supportive, meaningful, and accessible for children.

Since 2020, I’ve been living in Barcelona, providing therapy in a multicultural context. I work in Turkish, English, and Spanish, and engage with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. Additionally, I collaborate with startups and give seminars on various topics, including menstrual cycle awareness and relationship health.

As for my therapeutic approach, I feel most aligned with narrative therapy and systemic therapy. Through my work in therapy rooms and on the ground, I’ve seen that people carry not only the weight of their experiences but also the weight of how they narrate those experiences. How a person defines themselves, how their story is heard, and how they interact with their environment are key factors in healing. That’s why these two approaches, which allow space for a person to revisit their story and consider them not just as an individual but in their context, resonate most with me in both my thinking and working style.

Outside of work, plants, books, and travel are my greatest sources of inspiration. Every new experience broadens my empathy and perspective. The motto "You got this, girl!" is something I often remind myself of in challenging moments. I choose to trust the flow of life, remain open to questions, and dive deeper with each step.
